Singapore Heng Sheng (Grenada) Development PTE LTD successfully concluded its attendance at the Investment Migration Forum in London, the United Kingdom on May 18, 2023. The developer of the Grenada National Resort and a leading provider of the Grenada Citizenship by Investment (CBI) investor was also a proud sponsor of the prestigious annual event, organized by the Swiss-based Investment Migration Council (IMC).

Led by its chairman Mr. Li Yuanfa, the Heng Sheng team had conducted a number of fruitful meetings with its channel partners to continuously promote the Grenada CBI program together to a wider audience.

Grenada’s prime minister Hon. Dickon Mitchell has also led a delegation, including Thomas Anthony, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Grenada CBI Unit; Karline Purcell, Deputy CEO; and Ronald Theodore, Member of the CBI Committee to the Forum, making him the only prime minister from the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) with CBI program to address the event. During his keynote speech, Prime Minister Mitchell stressed the value of the CBI program brought to Grenada. He also outlined his vision for the beautiful Caribbean country.

Hon. Mitchell said to date, total receipts from the CBI program, over the period 2016 to 2022, average 3.5 per cent of Grenada’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) annually. The program has also created job opportunities for over 2,400 Grenadian citizens.

Thomas Anthony, CEO of the Grenada CBI Unit, has addressed the issue of the prolonged application process for the Grenada CBI program at the Caribbean-US Round Table Talks. He said they have been hiring more man-power and digitalizing the process in order to remove the obstacles for better efficiency.

The Heng Sheng team met the prime minister and his delegation on the sidelines of the Forum. Chairman Li updated the prime minister on the construction progress of the Grenada National Resort. The prime minister acknowledged the benefits of such a grand project to the local community and how it would change the landscape of the Grenada tourism.

Chairman Li and the prime minister have also established a communication mechanism to exchange dialogues on a regular basis in order to ensure the successful execution of the CBI program.

Being the most important foreign investment project in Grenada, the Grenada National Resort has also received great attention from the participants of the Forum. The Heng Sheng team met dozens channel partners at the event and shared the advantages of a Grenada “golden passport”, the construction progress and the past success stories.

The four-day Forum was concluded with a lavish gala-dinner at the world-famous St. Paul’s Cathedral and recognition was given to Heng Sheng as a prominent sponsor of the event.
