Featured among excellent works on display at the 2020 "Golden Lotus Cup" International (Macau) Design Competition, as well as the 6th "Golden Lotus Cup" International Design Masters Invitational Competition, the Grenada National Resort emerged a proud award-winner for its architectural design.

The Grenada National Resort Project won the silver award in the 6th Golden Lotus International Competition at the 2020 MACAU INTERNATIONAL DESIGN EXHIBITION. The Award Ceremony was held on the 18th of December, 2020, at the MGM Grand Macau.

At the ceremony, the various award winners including the Grenada National Resort, were conferred the 2020 “Golden Lotus Cup” International (Macao) Design

Competition and the 6th “Golden Lotus Cup” International Design Masters Invitational Competition.

The Exhibition, which began in 2014, has been privileged to continually receive the strong support of the relevant competent authorities of the Macao SAR government and the Macao International Design Federation.

One of the competitions within the joint event is the prestigious Golden Lotus Cup International Design Master Invitational Competition, a large-scale, high-level, and influential professional design competition in the Asia Pacific region, and one which now counts the Grenada National Resort among its silver medalists.

Architectural works, indoor space, and soft decoration (including furniture and product designs) are first collected, then subjected to the professional evaluation of the organizing committee, which then awards gold, silver, and copper medals to the winners.

The Macao International Design Exhibition changed to a biennial in 2019 and will see the 7th edition held in 2022.

Mr. Fu Jun, academician of the United Nations International Academy of Ecological Life Safety, President and chairman of the Macao International Design Federation, and Chairman of the Macao International Design Exhibition Organizing Committee, in his welcome message, told the guests and competitors that it is extremely rare for those in the business of architecture to gather to discuss the future of design.

The Golden Lotus Cup Invitational Competition is open to the global design community. So far, it has been successfully held five times and has received commendable support and recognition from many in the global design industry.

The Grenada National Resort's architectural design submission by Singapore Heng Sheng Group is set to become a masterpiece on the Caribbean island of Grenada.
